Schonberg & Associates flagship Louisiana and Mississippi properties both announced deficiency-free surveys by the Louisiana Department of Social Services and the Mississippi Department of Health, respectively. Both communities have demonstrated long, consistent track records of deficiency-free state surveys since they have been in operation.

The Suites at Sugar Mill Point in Houma, Louisiana was surveyed and notified October 25, 2007 as to their deficiency-free survey. The Suites at Sugar Mill Point was one of a select number of communities in the state to boast the zero-deficiency rating.

“As part of our commitment to always doing what is in the best interest of our residents, we strive for perfection in every aspect of maintaining our community,” said Shannon Huber, Executive Director of The Suites at Sugar Mill Point.  Alden Pointe Assisted Living and Memory Care community in Hattiesburg, Mississippi was surveyed on May 29, 2007 and notified June 6, 2007 that they had received a zero-deficiency survey from the state.

“We continuously excel in our state surveys,” said Alden Pointe Executive Director Kathy McPhail. “It is something we are very proud of and something we feel our residents and their families have come to expect.” David Schonberg, owner of Schonberg & Associates, the New Orleans-based healthcare leader who owns and operates both communities, echoed the sentiments of the two directors. “This excellent performance just goes to show that our communities boast the best leaders in the business, who personally ensure that the highest standards of care are upheld. We are very proud of our entire Schonberg & Associates family for this achievement.”
