SLIDELL, LA – (1/15/2015) – Park Provence, Slidell’s premier assisted living and memory care community, is celebrating the grand opening of the updated community with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, taking place from 3:30-4:30 PM on Wednesday, January 28th at 1925 Possum Hollow Road in Slidell. Under its new name Park Provence, the community continues to build upon it’s well-established reputation for delivering superior assisted living and memory care. Park Provence recently completed a $1-million-dollar renovation to ensure the absolute highest level of comfort and care for its residents..
Park Provence is led by Executive Director Susan Pappalardo, along with an experienced and caring team of experts that includes a memory care manager, an activities coordinator, and a marketing and business development director. Pappalardo is thrilled with the improvements that have been made to the community since becoming part of the Schonberg & Associates family. “Given the track record of success that I’ve seen in Schonberg’s other communities, I knew that becoming part of the Schonberg family would allow us to provide even more exceptional care and amenities to our residents,” stated Pappalardo. “However, the amazing strides that the Schonberg team has already helped us make in our programming, presentation, and staff training have exceeded my wildest expectations, and I am so excited to share these new offerings and amenities with our residents and the Slidell community. The best has truly gotten even better!”
The state-of-the-art assisted living and memory care community provides highly personalized care to seniors in need of special assistance. Tucked away on 20 acres of beautiful woodlands, Park Provence includes a tranquil lake surrounded by a spacious walking path.
The community consists of 82 beautifully appointed, spacious live-in suites, including an entire floor that caters exclusively to memory care. There are 15 different floor plans that feature kitchens with a full-sized refrigerator, microwave, pantry, and sink. Each suite is equipped with individual hot water heaters and air conditioning units. Cable, water, electricity, and Wifi are included in every suite.
Through their dedication to revolutionizing combined memory care and assisted living communities, Schonberg & Associates has positioned themselves at the forefront of the memory care industry. The Schonberg & Associates team partners with the country’s leading Alzheimer’s and dementia doctors and experts to provide families in need with communities and programs that meet the social, intellectual, nutritional and spiritual needs of each resident.
Meeting the rapidly growing need for quality care for Alzheimer’s and dementia is a serious concern. According to Brian Berrigan, the executive director of the Louisiana Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association, more than 83,000 residents in Louisiana are currently living with a memory disorder. “I’m thrilled to have a community partner like Park Provence to care for those affected by Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia,” says Harrell. “With Park Provence’s foundation of best practices, including proper care, training, consultations, support and commitment to research, its goal of creating a Dementia Capable Society is more than achievable.”
